Segment by Average Order Value to Make More Sales

And not just because your contacts are all individuals with completely different preferences, but because their spending habits and budgets vary as well!
Which is why today, we’re sharing a quick and easy way for you to segment your list and target customers based on their average order value (AOV).
Segmenting your list by average order value is a smarter way to prime your audience for sales… because you know you’re sharing offers that suit their spending habits!
Now, you’ll want to make sure you have an eCommerce integration already set up so Sendlane is able to pull in the purchase history for your customers.
If you haven’t done this already, here’s a step-by-step guide to set up Deep Data for Shopify.
Next, jump over to your Lists menu & select Global Segments:
We hope this isn’t your first segment, but if it is, the next screen will look just like this:
Click Add Segment and then just start plugging in your info! You can choose to segment based on an exact amount, or set price brackets using dollar amount ranges:
No matter how many price brackets you may have, you can create individual segments for each of them to maximize your targeting!
We recommend creating a few segments (like low spenders, medium spenders and high spenders) for best results, but you can do whatever makes the most sense based on your business.
